Baan Phak Rim Kao was started by the owner Tuernjai  in 2001. Over time she has been gradually adding to the number of rooms and improving the facilities. However it is still very much a small, friendly place to stay. If you are looking for 5 star comfort this is not for you but it is if you want to experience rural Thailand away from the usual, crowded tourist centers. If you are passing through and need somewhere to spend the night or you want to get away from it all for a few days then you can be sure of a warm welcome and a relaxed, peaceful atmosphere. As the name suggests it is on the side of a mountain which can be explored with the help of a local guide. There is an abundance of wild orchids for those interested in that sort of thing.
